The 2026 Challenge sold out in record timing!
How is it possible that a trip in two years time can sell out in record time without even advertising it? I don’t really know! It’s mind blowing to me! As soon as we announced that we were going to Austria to take on the Grossglockner (2,504 m, Austria’s highest pass), The Ötztal Glacier Raod (2,830m, the second highest road in Europe) and some the Giro’s most iconic climbs, Challengers wanted to book straight away. It’s been a little while since my last post! In this post, I want to say a huge thank you for the support so far and tell you about some of the exciting things that are coming in the future.
It sold out in 3 days!
Craig and I couldn’t beleive it! It’s amazing and we want to say thank you to all of you! Genuinely, we really appreciate the support! We are passionate about cycling and we love taking people to amazing places to ride their bikes. And hopefully that will continue!
Future trips
As the trip sold out so quickly, there are some people that have missed out. However, there are four Tours in 2025 so that you can still have an amazing trip with Tactic UK.
You might have seen on strava that I was in Andorra this weekend. It’s 2 hours drive from where I live. With the weekend to myself, it might have been my last chance to get up there to recce routes.
The more I go to Andorra, the more I love it. So that’s why three of the of the four 2025 Tours will visit Andorra.
If you like point to point trips…
One of the great things about our Challenge trips is that we go from point to point. If you like that then check out Girona - Andorra. Starting in Girona, you’ll get to see the home of Pro Cycling in Europe. Then, 2 days riding across the Catalan Pyrenees. Then you’ll get two days riding of the best roads in Andorra!
If you like Mountains
My favourite word that I learnt this year was ‘orophile’, which means mountain lover. On the Challenges we get to see some stunning mountain scenery. If you like mountains, steep valleys and switchback descents, then check out Pure Andorra. This is your kind of trip.
If you like Mythical Climbs
On the Austro-Dolomiti Challenge we’re going to tackle some of Austria’s best climbs and then on to the Dolomites for some of the Giro’s Icons. If this is the sort of thing that inspires you, then take a look at the Alpe d’Huez Tour. A mixture of the Tour’s legendary climbs and the hidden roads that surround them.
If you’ve got any questions or comments about the riding mentioned in this post, drop them in a comment below or send me an email. I’m hoping to share to some stories from the Alps Challenge and a guide to riding in Andorra in upcoming blog posts.
