Hotel Day 2: Hotel Les Chalets, Brides-les-Bains

This latest blog past shares info about the hotel for day 2. Now, details for hotels for the first half of the trip have all been shared on the blog. Keep an eye out for news on hotels for 5, 6 & 7.

After staying in La Clusaz on the first night, we have an epic ride over the Col des Aravis and the Cormet de Roseland towards the town of Brides-les-Bains. It’s a popular town due to its proximity to the 3 Vallées but it lies almost at the valley floor. As well as being well situated on our route, it’s known for it’s thermal springs which could help easy some very tired legs after a big day of climbing.

Our hotel is called Hotel Les Chalets, a large spa hotel fully equipped for the masses of skiers that come in winter. This will also be the first hotel on route that has an outdoor swimming pool (but not the last), or perhaps we’ll end up in the river like in Pozzo di Fassa two years ago!

Remember that on the route for day 2 we have the option to climb the Col de la Loze? For those brave enough (or mad enough) to attempt it… it just got even harder -  they will actually have to ride past the front door of the hotel on the way to the Col de la Loze! It will take some serious will power not to pull up and carry on up towards the toughest climb on the route.

Aude and the team at Les Chalets have been really helpful with the booking process and we’re looking forward to our stay there in July.
